Dry Creek Landfill Turns Garbage Biogas into Electricity
The Dry Creek Landfill of Rogue Disposal & Recycling in southern Oregon has embarked on a landfill gas-to-energy project with the help of two Caterpillar G3520 engines. The new alternative energy system will collect methane gas through existing perforated pipes buried deep within the landfill and draw it into a central collection point to power the new engines. The G3520s, in turn, generate electricity that feeds into the local utility's grid system.  Read More
