PETERSON'S CALIFORNIA BUCKET
The "California" Bucket – the 112-inch 988-wheel loader bucket – is currently being sold throughout Northern California. “The California market uses trucks and trailers with narrow tops,” explains Jack Ravazza, Svc Mgr/SL. “Cat’s standard 144-to-148-inch bucket is too wide and causes spillage so we designed a 112-inch that matches up with a truck beautifully.” As customer demand has grown, Caterpillar has recognized the emerging market potential. In winter 2007, Cat engineers began testing their own 112-inch top-loading bucket, to be marketed as the “California Loading Bucket”.
